Walnut Creek

On the sidewalk, With warm coffee and sun,

The small pleasures so obvious, But why so few?

Taking the moment to reflect, Resting in the words,

That fall from mind to pen.

Resolving little in the world, Creating unseen snapshots,

For future mythical albums.

It is, after all, only an exercise, Designed to keep mental muscles loose,

While my bones ache with age.
